Call for Nominations

At the Texas Aviation Conference held each spring, the Texas Department of Transportation’s Aviation Division presents four customer service awards. Award nominations for the 2017 Texas Aviation Conference at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel, Spa & Conference Center in San Marcos, Texas, are requested for the following categories:

  • Most Improved General Aviation Airport
  • General Aviation Airport of the Year
  • General Aviation Airport Manager of the Year
  • Reliever Airport of the Year or Reliever Airport Manager of the Year

Nominations will be accepted until March 20, 2017. Please go to the Call for Nominations page for more information.

Registration Fees & Payment Information

Pre-registration is recommended and will help us in planning and preparing a better conference. If you pre-register, your name tag and program packet will be ready when you arrive at the hotel. The fee is $200 through March 20, 2017. A $50 late fee will be added to registrations received after March 20, 2017. An additional $75 fee will be added for all on-site registrations.

NOTE: Online registration will be available until 5:00 p.m. CST, April 10, 2017. After this date, please plan to register on-site at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel.

You are encouraged to register online. Please make check or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-Avtn2017. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) also accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. If paying by check or money order, you may register online and then mail your payment to EM&P. EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference. NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.

For payment processing purposes, the vendor identification number for TTI-EM&P is 37277277275000. The federal identification number is 74-2270624.

The registration fee covers conference handouts, break refreshments, Wednesday and Thursday evening activities, including the awards banquet.

Cancellation

Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 p.m. CST on March 20, 2017 will be refunded, less $50 handling fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Special Activities

Golf Tournament

On Wednesday, April 19, 2017 is our 20th Annual Golf Tournament at The Bandit Golf Club. The fee to participate is $65.00 and you can pay online with your conference registration. There will be a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. All golfers must be registered to attend the conference. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) will contact you at least two weeks before the conference.

Get-Acquainted Reception

A get acquainted reception is planned for Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The reception will be in the Exhibit Area at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel, Spa with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Awards Banquet

Plan to join us on Thursday evening for the Awards Banquet. All registered participants are encouraged to attend. Guest tickets are also available for $40. Tickets can be purchased online when you register for the conference.

Hotel Reservations

The Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel, Spa is holding a block of rooms for our use at the rate of $91 group rate. We encourage everyone who needs a sleeping room to make a reservation immediately. We anticipate the rooms will be booked quickly. Room rates are $91 single, $154 double, triple and quad.

Reservations should be made by March 19, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. to receive the discounted rates. After this date, rooms may be available at a higher rate. To receive this conference rate please ask for reservations for the “35th Annual Texas Aviation Conference” at (512) 392-6450. You may also make your reservation online.
