Russell H. Perry Award

Established in 1988, the Russell H. Perry Award recognizes individual citizens for leadership in increasing public awareness of the need for and benefits of adequate highway and transportation facilities in the State of Texas. Nominees can come from anywhere in the state, with the exception of employees of the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, the Center for Transportation Research at The University of Texas at Austin, the Texas Railroad Commission, or the Texas Department of Public Safety. Individuals who qualify for the Gibb Gilchrist, Dewitt C. Greer, or Luther DeBerry award should not be considered for nomination. The award is administered by TTI through TTI’s Business Office. The recipient receives a plaque recognizing his or her leadership.
