To be held at The Lakefront Anchorage hotel adjacent to Lake Hood, home to the world’s busiest seaplane base, and to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, the 10th National Aviation System Planning Symposium will explore ongoing developments in technology and policy, and their impact on planning of aviation systems through the 21st century and beyond.

About

The National Aviation System Planning Symposium (NASPS) is a triennial event organized with the goal of assessing the state of the art in system planning, addressing current issues confronting the airport and aviation industry, and identifying research needs to inform the future research agenda for aviation system planning. single engine airplane parked at Glacier Creek The symposium brings together system planning consultants, airport and aviation system planners and managers, air carrier and other aviation industry representatives, Federal and state transportation officials, and others interested in the future development of the aviation system and its role in the larger multi-modal transportation system for two days of meetings, presentations, and networking. The NASPS provides a unique opportunity to gather people who are actively involved in planning the aviation system to focus on its future development and improvement for a sustainable, healthy future. The symposium is cosponsored by the Transportation Research Board committees on Aviation System Planning and Intergovernmental Relations in Aviation.

Hotel Reservations

The Lakefront Anchorage hotel website

Accommodations have been arranged with The Lakefront Anchorage hotel. The hotel room rate is valid from May 18 thru May 24.

Hotel rates are:

  • $149 single/double
  • $169 triple
  • $189 quad

Plus 12% tax.

The conference room rate has been extended until May 9, 2018.

The hotel room block is being held until May 1, 2018. After May 1st rates will be subject to the best available rate at the time. Check in is 3:00 p.m. and checkout time is 12:00 p.m. Rooms may be reserved by calling the Lakefront Anchorage at (907) 243-2300 and requesting the “Aviation Conference room rate.”

Please ask for the “Front Desk” and not “Reservations” when calling the hotel to make room reservations.

Registration Fees & Payment Information

Please pre-register. This will help us in planning and preparing a better symposium. If you pre-register, your nametag will be ready when you arrive at the hotel.

Registration fees include the following meals:

  • Breakfast on Monday and Tuesday
  • Lunch on Monday and Tuesday
  • Dinner on Monday evening (you can bring a guest to this meal for an additional $50)
  • Coffee Break Monday and Tuesday mornings
  • Snack Break on Monday and Tuesday afternoons

NOTE: Online registration will be available until 5:00 p.m. CST, May 14, 2018. Please plan to register onsite after this date.

You are encouraged to register online. Please make check or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-NASP18. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) also accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. If paying by check or money order, you may register online and then mail your payment to EM&P. EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference. NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.

For payment processing purposes, the vendor identification number for TTI-EM&P is 37277277275000. The federal identification number is 74-2270624.

Cancellation

Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 p.m. CST on April 13, 2018 will be refunded, less $50 handling fee. No refunds will be issued after April 13, 2018.

Join us for an evening at the Alaska Aviation Museum, located on Lake Hood, the world’s largest seaplane base!

  • Cocktail Hour
    A tour of the museum and a cash bar will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner
    Dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Guests may join conference attendees for a fee of $50. Payment should be received by TTI Event Management & Planning no later than May 18.
