The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Wrong-Way Driving (WWD) workshop is intended to promote effective and proven WWD safety improvements for nationwide installations. The FHWA completed the “Developing Crash Modification Factors for Wrong Way Driving Safety Improvements” study in January of 2022. The WWD workshop is to communicate the findings of this study to practitioners’ community for safety, design, and operation. The FHWA will publish this study by August of 2022.

The WWD workshop is free and available to staffs from: State DOTs, highway transportation agencies, FHWA employees, and FHWA stakeholders (i.e. American Traffic Safety Services Association, and Transportation Research Board).

The WWD workshop will: conduct training on effective and proven WWD safety improvements and provide technical resources to attendees, conduct technology transfer, and conduct peer exchange and discussions for WWD safety priorities.

The FHWA WWD workshop will be conducted by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). This virtual workshop will be offered via the Microsoft Teams platform. For those who desire documentation in support of continuing education requirements, proof of participation will be provided to those attendees who request it.

To attend the WWD workshop, please complete the following registration form. The meeting details and connection information will be provided in your registration confirmation.
