Additional Events
Training Workshop: Crowdsourcing for Advancing Operations
This course, scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, is envisioned for transportation operations managers, transportation analysts, consultants, and university students focusing on transportation. The course is intended to:
- Broaden participants’ understanding of how crowdsourced data from free navigation apps, vehicle probes, connected vehicles, social media, and other sources can improve transportation operations and safety.
- Help participants consider whether specific applications of crowdsourced data may meet their organization’s needs for improving transportation operations.
As an introductory course, prior crowdsourcing experience is not required for participation.

Join us on Wednesday, November 15, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the most entertaining driving range in Bryan, Texas (BigShotsgolf.com), for an enjoyable evening of mingling, networking, and experiencing a state-of-the-art driving range. Indulge in delicious tacos and refreshing drinks while supporting our ITS Texas scholarship program, benefiting future ITS professionals. The event is available for a fee of $100.
Vendor Showcase Session
The Vendor Showcase is available for all exhibitor registrations to attend as a singular Session 4 on Thursday. This supercharges our popular previous session for New Technologies/ITS Technology Toolbox and expands it for participation by all attendees of the 2023 Annual Meeting!
As an exhibitor as well as an ITS Texas member in good standing, we invite you to participate in our Vendor Showcase. Your company has an opportunity to make a succinct (45 seconds) verbal presentation about your firm, products, and/or the services you are featuring at this year’s meeting. The Vendor Showcase will provide a unique forum to present information to all conference attendees in a non-competitive, low-pressure environment. Since this session will occur directly before our Exhibitor Reception, if something interests an attendee, they will be able to have a one-on-one discussion with your company immediately after.
If you would like to participate, please check “Yes” when registering. You must register and send your logos by October 13, 11:59 p.m. Email logos to [email protected]. Only those who sign up by then will be scheduled to participate in the Vendor Showcase. Guidelines are few but strict:
- 45-second live “commercial.” You will be timed and cut off at 45 seconds.
- You may use hand-held props but no PowerPoint, video or any form of presentation.
The lineup schedule will be prioritized by sponsors first, then alphabetically. More details and a participants’ schedule will be provided prior to the meeting.
