Call for Nominations
At the Texas Aviation Conference held each spring, the Texas Department of Transportation’s Aviation Division presents four customer service awards. Award nominations for the 2018 Texas Aviation Conference at Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston, Texas; are requested for the following categories:
- Most Improved General Aviation Airport
- General Aviation Airport of the Year
- General Aviation Airport Manager of the Year
- Reliever Airport of the Year or Reliever Airport Manager of the Year

Registration Fees & Payment Information
Pre-registration is recommended and will help us in planning and preparing a better conference. If you pre-register, your name- tag and program packet will be ready when you arrive at the hotel. Payment is required for ALL attendees. TxDOT employees are required to pay $135. The fee is $200 for all others until 5:00 p.m. CST, February 26, 2018. A $75 late fee will be applied at that time.

NOTE: Online registration will be available until 5:00 p.m. CST, March 15, 2018. After this date, please plan to register on-site at the Moody Gardens Hotel.
You are encouraged to register online. Please make check or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-Avtn2018. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) also accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. If paying by check or money order, you may register online and then mail your payment to EM&P. EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference. NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.
For payment processing purposes, the vendor identification number for TTI-EM&P is 37277277275000. The federal identification number is 74-2270624.
The registration fee covers conference handouts, break refreshments, Wednesday and Thursday evening activities, including the awards banquet.
Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 p.m. CST on February 27, 2018 will be refunded, less $50 handling fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Tuesday, March 27, 2018, our 21st Annual Golf Tournament will be held at The Moody Gardens Golf Course. The fee to participate is $65 for early registration through 5:00 p.m., February 26, 2018 and $85 for regular registration after 5:00 p.m., February 26, 2018.
No on-site registration will be available for the golf tournament. If you have a preference of who is on your team, please note it in your registration. We will do our best accommodate your team requests, but team requests are not guaranteed.
The shotgun start will be at 11:00 a.m. To participate in the golf tournament, golfers must be registered to attend the conference.
Event Management & Planning (EM&P) will contact you a week before the tournament with details about the tournament.
A get acquainted reception is planned for Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The reception will be in the Exhibit Area at the Moody Gardens Hotel with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
Plan to join us on Wednesday evening for the Awards Banquet. All registered participants are encouraged to attend. Guest tickets are also available for $50. You can purchase guest tickets online when registering for the conference.

The Moody Gardens Hotel is holding a block of rooms for our use at a group rate of $156. We encourage everyone who needs a sleeping room, at the group rate, to make a reservation immediately. You may make your reservation online.
Please note, to receive the state/federal per diem rate, $99, please call (888) 388-8484 ask reservations for the “36th Annual Texas Aviation Conference.” Your state/federal identification is needed when checking in.
We anticipate the rooms will be booked quickly. Make reservations by 5:00 p.m. on March 4, 2018 to receive the discounted rates. After this date, rooms may be available at a higher rate.
